During COVID lockdown and sadly being furloughed I started making handcrafted watercolour bookmarks, cards and gift tags, together with perfecting how to make cheese scones, to save me from boredom and to while away the time...
History...
My dad suggested that I should try making resin bookmarks, which I did, and absolutely loved and, when COVID rules allowed, started selling them at local craft fairs and events and they proved to be very popular with both adults and children alike. This is how the name BookMarkit came about.
Not being satisfied with just making bookmarks I expanded my resin range to include, together with the bookmarks, little pocket hugs, keyrings and bag fobs, stich markers, hair accessories, coasters, phone/tablet grip holder/stands and seasonal items such as Christmas tree decorations and Halloween coffin trinket boxes.
Together with selling my bespoke handcrafted resin items at craft fairs and events I now also sell them on FaceBook craft sites such as VSMS, The Handmade Market UK and UK Virtual Market 2022.

I have been overwhelmed, together with my bookmarks, with how both my Pocket Bear Hugs and Pocket Hug Hearts have taken off. BookMarkit has received so many amazing and touching reviews about how these Pocket Hugs have been used as thoughtful thinking of you gifts and also in how they have helped, in the main children, to overcome anxieties, school worries and helping to ward off bad dreams when they are popped by the bed.
In October 2021, for Breast Cancer Awareness month, I donated 50% of all of my sales to Breast Cancer Now UK charity and will be doing the same again this year.
I only use premium epoxy resin, that is manufactured in the UK, that is non-toxic, cruelty free and vegan friendly together with quality inks, mica powders and infills and, the moulds I craft with are regularly cleaned and sanitised. It is worth mentioning that there can sometimes be some very very small bubbles or very slight uneven finishes with some items. These are not defects they are simply unavoidable when handcrafting with resin; please be assured that I will only sell what I feel to be quality goods.
